Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist ready to make a meaningful impact in elementary education settings. This full-time, contract role will support two elementary schools and one private school student in the Cartersville, GA area, stepping in during a maternity leave with potential for extension. The position runs from November 2nd through January 29th, with a possible extension through February 26th. We are seeking candidates with a passion for supporting students' functional abilities and promoting their academic success through effective therapy services.
Qualifications:
Current, active Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Georgia Prior experience as a school-based OT is preferred Solid understanding of pediatric occupational therapy strategies, documentation requirements, and IEP processes Strong communication skills to collaborate with education professionals and families Dedication to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled OT services to students at two elementary schools and one private school student Conduct assessments, participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with general and special education staff to support students' academic participation and access Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate progress to parents and school teams Manage a dynamic caseload; adapt intervention strategies as needed This is your chance to step into a collaborative setting and support student growth across multiple school environments during a critical coverage period.
