School-based Occupational Therapist contract position 40 hours/week, 1099, to develop educationally relevant skills for students with developmental delays in the school system. This itinerant position includes several schools and ages range from pre-k to some high school. Come join a great team of seasoned school-based therapists for the 26-27 school year! Responsibilities

• Select and adapt the appropriate Occupational Therapy treatment for students with disabilities.
• Assess student abilities in classroom performance and promote independence.
• Perform standardized testing for evaluations.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
• Guide and educate family members and special education staff.
• Observe, note, and report on the progress of IEP goals and objectives.
• Document services rendered. Skills
• Experience in the school system is preferred but will consider pediatric experience.
• Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of Occupational Therapy.
• Familiarity with IEPs and 504 plans
• Ability to manage students with different types of personalities and disabilities.
• Drive to continually learn and grow in our profession
• Enjoy working with a team of OT's, PT's, and Speech Paths.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Computer skills with Google docs
• Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in GA
• BS degree or greater in Occupational Therapy.

$60.00 - $65.00 per hour
