Key Qualifications:

Valid COMS certification through ACVREP Active GaPSC Teaching Certificate Proven experience as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist serving K-12 students Familiarity with IEP documentation and planning Reliable transportation for travel between school locations Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Role Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and develop goals for students' orientation and mobility needs Deliver individualized and group O&M instruction across various school settings, ensuring programming aligns with each student's IEP Monitor progress and update reports for IEP meetings and required documentation Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to help integrate O&M strategies into classroom and community activities Adapt instruction and plan lessons to serve students in different grades and with varying levels of ability Maintain compliance with district policies and professional standards
