Job Description

Overview Occupational Therapist - Acute Care in Pahala, Hawaii, starting 10/12/2026 for 26 weeks.
Weekly pay range:
$2,155-$2,173 per week.
Shift:
5x8 days, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am-4:00 pm.
Setting:
a critical access hospital environment. This travel - temporary assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Shift:
Mon-Fri, 7:30 am-4:00 pm (5x8 days) Start date: 10/12/2026 Work setting: acute care / rehabilitation within a critical access hospital Responsibilities Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in inpatient and outpatient rehab settings under physician orders. Plan and implement ongoing occupational therapy programs aligned with each patient's goals and physician directives. Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs; independently manage a full caseload. Perform re-evaluations as insurance authorization allows and adjust plans accordingly. Utilize EMR systems (Net Health Therapy and Meditech) to document assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans. Participate in holiday coverage as required by hospital operations. Requirements Hawaii State license for Occupational Therapy active by start date (travelers not in possession must apply upon offer and obtain licensure by start). BLS certification from American Red Cross. Minimum 2 years of work experience with adults in both outpatient and acute (inpatient) settings. Proficiency with Net Health Therapy and Meditech EMR systems. Ability to work in both inpatient acute rehab and outpatient rehab environments; ability to work Mon-Fri day shifts and to cover holidays as needed. Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete employee health requirements.
