Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting student growth and achievement as an Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting near Buhl, ID. This contract opportunity covers the entire academic year from mid-August 2026 to late May 2027, with assignments spanning several local schools, all conveniently situated within close proximity. As part of a collaborative therapy team, you'll work closely with another OT to manage a caseload of approximately 35 students, making a significant impact on young lives across the district.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program; current OT licensure required Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs for students with diverse needs Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to adapt quickly and work efficiently in a dynamic, multi-school environment Must be willing to be onsite; relocation to the area is necessary for travel professionals
Core Responsibilities:
Evaluate and assess students to identify needs and create individualized intervention plans Provide direct OT services to students in accordance with their IEP goals Collaborate with teaching staff, administration, and families to incorporate occupational therapy strategies across educational environments Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, reports, and compliance records Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting and progress monitoring Travel between assigned schools within the district, ensuring accessibility for all students on the caseload This is a fantastic chance to make a lasting difference within a supportive and resourceful school environment.
