Summary of Responsibilities The Occupational Therapist (OT) will support patients recovering from acute injuries, chronic health conditions, illnesses, or disabilities across inpatient and outpatient settings. The OT will assess and evaluate patients while developing and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on improving independence and overall quality of life. Using a variety of therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and functional activities, the OT will help patients regain daily living skills, improve mobility and coordination, manage pain, and safely return to their prior level of function. Working collaboratively with physicians, clinical supervisors, and other healthcare team members, the OT will communicate changes in patient condition efficiently to ensure timely updates to the plan of care. The OT will also utilize a full range of therapeutic equipment and interventions to support patients in transitioning back to their daily activities and achieving their baseline functional abilities in a safe and effective manner. Qualifications Current or eligible for an Idaho State Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing. One (1) year of experience as an OT in an acute clinical setting or transitional care unit, preferred. Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR / First Aid Certification. Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order to get to and from work in various weather conditions to ensure reliability.
