Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Travel Experience the welcoming community of Jerome, Idaho—a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Magic Valley. Known for its access to outdoor adventures, from hiking and waterfalls to tranquil parks and scenic vistas, Jerome offers travel professionals the chance to explore Idaho's natural wonders during their assignment. Beyond the recreational opportunities, working here provides invaluable exposure to a regionally diverse patient population in an acute inpatient and swing bed setting, fostering professional growth and building a robust resume. As a travel occupational therapist in this dynamic hospital setting, you'll collaborate with a supportive team while encountering a variety of cases, including ortho-total joints, neuro/strokes, brain injuries, medical, and general ICU patients. This assignment offers excellent opportunities to further refine your clinical skills, develop new strategies for patient care, and experience innovative leadership styles.
Schedule:
Five 8-hour shifts: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday No self-scheduling Potential for holiday coverage
Orientation:
2-3 days, incorporated into the M-F onboarding week
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional occupational therapy to 8-10 patients per day in acute inpatient and swing bed units Float to nearby facilities as needed when census is low Document using
EPIC EMR
Collaborate effectively with the OT manager and multidisciplinary teams Maintain professional attire per dress code guidelines
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license BLS certification (required) Minimum 1 year of acute inpatient or rehab experience First-time travelers welcome Comfort working independently (solo therapist daily)
