Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a deeply rewarding contract role supporting students' growth and independence in a dynamic school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This in-person occupational therapy opportunity offers a unique blend of variety and flexibility, working with a diverse caseload of around 50 students. You'll empower children and adolescents with sensory and fine motor needs, making a lasting impact from August 26, 2026, through June 9, 2027. With 40 scheduled hours per week and the possibility of a four-day workweek, this is an ideal position for a compassionate, organized OT passionate about school-based practice. Your background in one or more of the following — school OT, home health OT, healthcare OT, teletherapy, or COTA roles — will help you thrive in this collaborative environment, where you'll partner with teachers and possibly another OT on staff to optimize student outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Prior experience in a school-based, healthcare, home health, or teletherapy OT setting Strong understanding of sensory integration and fine motor intervention strategies Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaborate with school teams Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to students' individual education plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and track student progress Implement interventions targeting sensory processing and fine motor skills Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent support and integration Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as needed Experience the fulfillment of making a meaningful difference in students' lives while enjoying a manageable caseload and potential scheduling flexibility.
