This contract position is based near Algonquin, IL, and offers the chance to make a positive impact within a single school location. The Occupational Therapist will work two days per week, with flexible scheduling to tailor the experience to your availability. This short-term assignment covers the fall semester, with the possibility of continued work into the second semester. It's a perfect fit for OTs who value flexibility and thrive working on specific, meaningful projects.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the State of Illinois Experience or enthusiasm for working in a school setting Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff Strong communication and organizational skills Flexibility to excel in a short-term contract role
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide therapy services to elementary-aged students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments, develop treatment goals, and document student progress Consult with educators and families to deliver strategies supporting student growth Adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of learners Maintain timely and thorough documentation for student records
