Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment as a dedicated Occupational Therapist, supporting students from 9th grade through Transition programs across a cooperative setting. This full-time, contract-based opportunity places you in a collaborative and resource-rich environment located near Arlington Heights, IL, for the academic year running from August 12, 2026, to May 21, 2027. Staff hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, with a 30-minute duty-free lunch each day.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license (OT) Experience in school-based occupational therapy and with 9th grade through transition age students Prior work in home health or healthcare OT settings is valuable Demonstrated skill in supporting fine and gross motor development Flexibility to serve a cooperative-wide caseload and collaborate with various team members Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services to students, focusing on both fine and gross motor skill development Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to support educational achievement Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to integrate therapy goals within classroom activities and daily routines Maintain accurate records of services, progress, and communication with stakeholders Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary team discussions This is an ideal opportunity to make a lasting impact across several programs, supporting students' independence and success as they prepare for their next stages.
