Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a positive impact by providing essential occupational therapy services to students and young adults in an engaging educational environment near Arlington Heights, IL. This contract opportunity begins on May 26th and continues through June 25, 2026, offering 18 hours per week of rewarding, hands-on experience. Your expertise will help support individuals ranging from Pre-K through those transitioning to adult life. What we're seeking: Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience or strong interest in school-based settings Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address students' functional and developmental needs Comfortable working with a diverse caseload, including young children and young adults preparing for life transitions Strong organizational and communication skills to manage schedules across multiple locations Reliable transportation to travel between assigned schools and one local home for 2 hours weekly Key responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy interventions for Pre-K students up to adults in transition Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress Work onsite for 16 hours within school environments; provide 2 hours of in-home therapy to ensure continuity of care Partner with educators, families, and other professionals to support holistic educational and developmental outcomes Attend team meetings and contribute expertise to support IEP/transition planning as needed This flexible contract assignment offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience across age groups while balancing your weekly schedule.
