Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students' growth and success in a contract occupational therapy role near Arlington Heights, IL. This opportunity is ideal for a dynamic, compassionate OT who thrives in diverse educational environments—including in-person, home health, healthcare settings, and teletherapy. Bring your expertise in school-based interventions and holistic therapy techniques to help students access their education and develop vital skills. Your work will foster independence and confidence in children across various settings, working collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Current licensure to practice as an OT Experience working in schools, home health, healthcare, and/or teletherapy environments Ability to create individualized treatment plans and adapt strategies to meet each student's needs Strong organizational and communication skills Compassionate, collaborative, and flexible approach Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students' functional abilities, including fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills Develop, implement, and monitor therapy plans in partnership with educators and families Deliver direct and consultative OT services in schools, students' homes, or virtually as needed Document progress and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams Advocate for students' access to resources and modifications for optimal educational participation Stay up-to-date with best practices in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy In this contract position, you'll enjoy the chance to work with a supportive and collaborative team, tailoring your creative skillset to support young learners.
