Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students through occupational therapy services across several school locations. This is an ideal role for those passionate about helping children thrive in an educational environment, working collaboratively with teachers, families, and fellow specialists. Three positions are available, each offering the chance to engage with diverse learners and make a valuable impact.
Open Positions:
Lake in the
Hills:
Serve a caseload of 20 students, providing 15 hours of support per week.
Morton Grove:
Support 20 students with your expertise, also at 15 hours weekly.
Rockford:
Provide care for a caseload (number of students to be determined), with a 15-hour-per-week commitment.
Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials required Previous school-based experience preferred, but strong new graduates will be considered Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services as specified in IEPs and 504 plans Assess students' needs and develop intervention strategies Document evaluations, progress notes, and communicate outcomes to educational teams and families Consult with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to support student participation in school activities Adapt therapy activities and materials to meet individual student goals You'll enjoy working in an engaging, flexible setting, where your contributions are valued and your expertise helps students reach their full potential.
