Part-Time School Occupational Therapist OT in the Rockford, IL area. Qualifications:
Bachelor' s Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy IL OT license COTA' s also accepted!
Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans. Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals. Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs. Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.

Assignment dates 08/13/2026-05/27/2027 for School Year, 05/28/2026-06/25/2027 for ESY In-person only Caseload information : We service students K-12th grade at each of our campuses. Eligibilities include Emotional Disability, Specific Learning Disability, Other Health Impairment, and some with Autism. One campus hosts life skills, more functional based high school classroom.
