Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students by delivering high-quality occupational therapy services across two vibrant school communities. This contract position offers a dynamic schedule: spend one day per week in Peoria working exclusively with students in an Emotional Disabilities (ED) setting, and three or more days each week in Bloomington, where you'll support a diverse caseload including ED, Autism (Aut), Life Skills, and other specialized needs.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) Ability to adapt approach to serve students in both ED and mixed-exceptionality classrooms Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and staff Efficient organizational skills to manage documentation and scheduling across locations

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' needs Develop and implement targeted treatment plans to support educational goals Deliver direct therapy to students individually and in group settings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for IEP meetings and progress reviews Communicate skill development strategies to teachers and caregivers Maintain all required student records and documentation in a timely, accurate manner Provide consultative support and professional recommendations to school teams
