Developmental Services Center (DSC) provides comprehensive services across the lifespan-from birth through adulthood-including family development, case management, employment, residential, respite, and community day services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford Counties. RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide therapeutic intervention to address motor development, sensory processing and regulation, feeding and mealtime participation, play, self-care skills, positioning, adaptive skills, and functional participation in children birth to age 3. Conduct evaluations, assessments, and maintain accurate electronic records. Complete all sessions as authorized and comply with documentation requirements and timelines necessary for timely billing. Partner with families using evidence-based practices to support caregivers' competence and child development. Collaborate with service coordinators, physicians, childcare providers, and therapy team members. Attend and participate in department meetings, IFSP meetings, transition planning and other consultative meetings.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program with current Illinois license. A minimum of one-year post-graduate pediatric experience is preferred. Early Intervention credential preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
HOURS:
40 hours a week, generally 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
