Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role as an Occupational Therapist supporting students ranging from early childhood through young adulthood. This is an in-person, contract opportunity perfect for a dedicated professional eager to empower students with disabilities through evidence-based practices and innovative support. This full-time assignment spans 35 hours per week, from August 19, 2026, through June 1, 2027. The position serves students ages 3 to 21, depending on the specific need of each school or program within the cooperative framework. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to creating effective programs and advancing professional development while focusing on meaningful outcomes for all learners.
Qualifications:
Current, active Illinois Occupational Therapy license is required Experience working within school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Strong skills in developing and implementing individualized, evidence-based intervention plans Ability to collaborate with colleagues, families, and other professionals Commitment to working onsite and delivering face-to-face services only
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students ages 3-21 Assess students to determine needs and develop measurable intervention goals Contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in team meetings Offer guidance and resources to educators for inclusive and supportive school environments Document services and progress in compliance with required standards Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with best practices This contract offers an excellent chance to make a difference for students while gaining valuable professional experience within a collaborative and resource-rich environment.
