Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A full-time contract opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT), with consideration for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), to support K-12 students in an elementary school setting in Crystal Lake, IL. This role requires 37.5 hours per week from August 10, 2026, through May 25, 2027, following a paid orientation from August 4-5.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate student participation in classroom activities alongside peers by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities. Modify tasks or environments to accommodate individual student needs. Perform diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate. Prepare clear, comprehensive reports based on assessments and observations. Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations. Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student progress and support needs.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois state license or eligibility to obtain licensure. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility and problem-solving aptitude.
