Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year supporting students' growth and functional independence in an engaging middle school environment. This on-site role offers the chance to collaborate within a dynamic team of eight Occupational Therapists, fostering student success across two vibrant campuses. Preferred full-time hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:45am to 3:15pm, aligned with the academic calendar, though two part-time specialists would also be considered.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in Illinois Experience or strong interest working in school settings, especially middle grades Knowledge of

MTSS, IEP

process, and special education evaluation Excellent collaboration and consulting skills with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to compassionate, student-centered practice Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt and problem-solve in a dynamic environment

Key Responsibilities:

Participate as a valued member of the district's OT team, providing expertise for initial and reevaluations to determine special education eligibility Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to students' needs Deliver individualized and group services per IEP or MTSS protocols Consult regularly with teachers and staff to support skill generalization in the classroom Contribute to building-level meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams Maintain timely and thorough documentation and data collection Help create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere across campuses Experience an enriching position where your knowledge as an Occupational Therapist will shape students' school success and wellbeing.
