Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping students thrive in the school environment. If you are a certified OT with experience or a keen interest in working with elementary-age children, we have two dynamic contract opportunities available for the upcoming school year in the areas surrounding Des Plaines, IL.
Details of available positions:
Position 1: Two full-time, non-concurrent leaves at elementary schools Serve the entire school year Assignments in Glen Ellyn area
Schedule:
35+ hours per week Position 2: Elementary school setting Full-time maternity leave coverage from October through April Located in the Bloomingdale area

Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois Strong desire to work in educational settings Previous experience with pediatric or school-based therapy preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families Willingness to adapt approaches to meet a range of student needs
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver direct and consultative therapy services Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families Document progress and participate in IEP meetings Provide training and resources to school personnel as needed Promote skill development for students to succeed in the classroom These school-based OT contracts offer the rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on students' academic and developmental success.
