The ideal candidate will work in various settings, including clinic and in home. Midwest Children's Therapy is a multi-disciplinary pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy clinic located in East Peoria, IL. We provide personalized, client-centered therapy services for children with various neurodevelopmental disabilities including developmental delays, autism, and sensory processing disorder. It is our goal to educate and inspire parents to connect with their child through play. Responsibilities The Occupational Therapist is responsible for managing the entire client experience from initial evaluation to implementation of treatment to family education to discharge. No two children are the same and therapists will need to use their expertise and creativity to connect with their clients, implementing a variety of approaches to find the "just right" therapeutic fit for your clients. Our therapy style is primary play-based, offering both clinic and in home services. Expectations Therapist will need to be a quick learner, capable of juggling scheduling and with good time management. Requirements Applicants should have 2+ years of experience Illinois Occupational Therapy License A Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university A personal professional liability policy Availability The ideal candidate will have availability to work 5 days a week. The position will be responsible for a range of 25-35 billable hours per week. The position will start with part time hours (10-15 hours/week) and build into a full time position (25-35 hours/week) over the course of the first few months of employment. Location This position will be a hybrid based out of the clinic in East Peoria and home based services.
