QUALIFICATIONS
Superior work habits and ethics Excellent communication skills - written and verbal Appropriate IllinoisCertification/licenses High level of personal fitness and hygiene Ability to work well with administration, faculty, students and parents Ability to perform duties as outlined
RESPONSIBILITIES
Confer with physicians and make recommendations for plans of treatment on a regular basis based upon school-based therapy driven by individualized education plan (IEP) Provide direct service to students as designated on IEP Advise and/or assist with in-service training programs for school personnel Communicate student needs to other appropriate personnel as necessary Provide accuarate and timely report evaluations and report on progress toward goals and objectives Provide daily records of treatments Reevaluate student progress at appropriate intervals. When indicated, make appropriate changes in the treatment program with physician approval Provide follow-up information to other agencies and services Participate in problem-solving, Collaborative team meetings to address possible barriers to stdent achievement Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Administrator
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 20-40 pounds on a regular repetitive basis Must be able to speak, hear, see, write, walk, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull and reach (above head and below knees) on a regular and repetitive basis Tasks require extensive use of hands including repetitive grippin, grasping, lifting and manipulation of equipment necessary to perform duties
