Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students with your expertise in Occupational Therapy! Two dynamic opportunities are available for passionate pediatric OTs eager to empower young learners and collaborate with dedicated educators. Opportunity 1 offers full-time engagement for the entire school year across two elementary campuses, covering two non-concurrent leaves. This is an excellent chance to build continuity of care, work closely with staff and families, and be a vital part of each child's journey. Opportunity 2 is a full-time maternity leave assignment at a single elementary school, running from October to April. You'll make a tangible impact during this key development period, supporting students through creative, evidence-based interventions.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy Current OT license valid for Illinois Recent experience providing OT in school settings, preferably elementary Strong organizational skills and comfort managing a varied caseload Excellent communication abilities, both with children and adults Passion for collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwork to serve students' needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate students and implement IEP-driven therapy Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to develop strategies that foster student independence Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and regularly assess therapy goals Adapt interventions for different needs and learning environments Promote inclusion by offering classroom strategies and teacher support You'll enjoy consistent weekday hours, professional growth, and the satisfaction of making a difference in the daily lives of children.
