Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity making a real impact in elementary education by supporting students as a School Occupational Therapist in vibrant Illinois communities. We're seeking two dedicated professionals passionate about helping children thrive in their learning environments. Bring your expertise and prepare to make a meaningful difference while working in supportive school settings.
Current opportunities include:
First position: Provide coverage for two non-concurrent leaves across elementary schools, with a full-time schedule (35+ hours weekly) spanning the entire school year.
Second position:
Serve in an elementary school, stepping in for a full-time maternity leave from October to April, also at 35+ hours each week.
Ideal candidates will have:
A valid Occupational Therapy license for Illinois Experience working with children in educational or pediatric settings Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit The ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs A passion for promoting student independence and participation in school routines Availability for the designated contract duration Key responsibilities include: Providing direct OT services to students based on IEPs Evaluating new referrals and reassessing ongoing cases Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster student progress Documenting progress, goals, and session outcomes in compliance with district guidelines Participating in meetings and contributing to team discussions for student support This role offers the flexibility of a contract position within nurturing, professional environments and the satisfaction of fostering growth and development among elementary students.
