Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students with diverse needs. This full-time position is perfect for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a passion for school-based therapy. You'll serve an inclusive special education community in a collaborative, onsite setting where every day brings the chance to impact young lives. In this role, your experience and compassion will be indispensable as you partner with a multidisciplinary team to empower students to reach their full potential. You'll manage a dynamic caseload, with specific assignments determined to match your strengths and interests.
Requirements:
Active Illinois OT or COTA license (please include verification with application) School-based occupational therapy experience preferred Comfort working across K-12 grade levels Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Availability to attend New Hire Orientation (August 12-14) Flexibility for a tentative start within the 2026-2027 school year
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Provide therapy to students, addressing IEP goals and functional skills Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff Document progress and maintain accurate records Serve as a resource for strategies that foster student growth and independence in the educational environment
