Job Description
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current active clinical license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Previous experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting is strongly preferred Ability to complete all onboarding requirements, including fingerprinting, within required timeframes Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a passion for working with diverse student populationsKey Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services onsite (not open to remote/VOCO), supporting students physical, cognitive, and sensory-motor needs Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Travel between assigned schools within the district as an itinerant provider Document student progress and maintain accurate case notes Offer consultation and training to staff and caregivers to foster positive student outcomes Enjoy a full-time schedule, working between 35-37.5 hours per week (7-7.5 hours daily), with start/end times that may vary depending on your assigned campuses.
