We offer in home services and utilize a family-centered, holistic approach to treatment and believe that addressing the body, mind, and emotional wellbeing is essential for quality of life. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions to help children develop essential skills for daily living and improve their overall quality of life. Your expertise will support children with diverse needs, including those with developmental delays, including autism spectrum disorder. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives through innovative therapy techniques and compassionate care. Benefits include a flexible schedule and ability to set your own hours within any Chicagoland location. We do not offer health benefits at this time. This is a part time contract/1099 position with an opportunity to grow to full time. Duties Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to identify their unique occupational therapy needs. Develop personalized care plans targeting motor skills, sensory processing, self-care activities, and functional independence. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive treatment approaches. Implement therapeutic interventions in the child's home or other natural environments. Support discharge planning by preparing families for ongoing therapy needs and providing resources for continued progress. Document patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans based on evolving needs and goals. Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist with specialization or experience in pediatrics. State of Illinois Early Intervention Credential (we will assist in obtaining credential). Liability Insurance (we will assist with obtaining this). Valid state drivers license. Demonstrate experience working with children across different settings including home health. Strong knowledge of Sensory Processing Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Experience using holistic approaches (mentoring on this topic will be provided) and ability to think "outside the box" of traditional therapy Ability to plan daily therapeutic activities including discharge planning and family education. Knowledge of feeding and nutrition can be an added advantage for holistic patient care. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
