Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling role as an Occupational Therapist working onsite in an engaging and supportive school-based environment. Beginning September 8, 2026 and continuing through January 8, 2026, you'll enjoy a part-time schedule of three days per week (22.5 hours), serving students across elementary and high school grades (K-12) within resource and self-contained settings. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by providing high-quality occupational therapy interventions tailored to a diverse school population. The setting keeps you connected—with easy access to a supervisor in your discipline who's committed to supporting your growth and helping you solve challenges as they arise.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois Previous school-based OT experience preferred; comfortable serving resource and self-contained K-12 students Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Dedicated to fostering positive student outcomes Ability to adapt and thrive within a dynamic educational environment
What You'll Do:
Evaluate and provide direct and consultative OT services to students across grade levels Document progress and communicate effectively with educators and families Collaborate with team members to develop and implement IEP goals Utilize available equipment and testing materials Participate in regular performance reviews and ongoing process improvement initiatives Engage in monthly team meetings, roundtable discussions, and 1:1 check-ins with leadership
