Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting elementary school students as a contract Occupational Therapist. Two opportunities are available for passionate, skilled OTs to provide essential services throughout the school year in dynamic educational environments near Naperville, IL.
Opportunity One:
Fill two full-time, non-concurrent leave positions at elementary schools. Each assignment maintains a strong schedule throughout the year, ensuring consistent support. The positions offer 35+ hours per week for the entire school year.
Opportunity Two:
Step in for a full-time maternity leave at an elementary school from October through April. Provide services to a diverse student population. Enjoy a full-time schedule, working at least 35 hours weekly.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Active OT license in Illinois, or eligibility to obtain prior to start. Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy, preferably at the elementary school level. Ability to adapt interventions for students with varied abilities and needs. Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with educators, families, and related service providers. Commitment to fostering independence and participation in the school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with educational goals and IEPs. Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate OT strategies throughout the school day. Provide direct therapy services and consultative support. Monitor and document student progress to align with IEP objectives. Contribute positively to the school community and help students reach their full potential.
