Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Ready to make a meaningful difference as an Occupational Therapist? An exciting contract opportunity is available in the Orland Park, IL area for a dedicated OT seeking an impactful, in-person role within school settings. This full-time position spans from August 19, 2026, through June 1, 2027, offering 35 hours per week of engagement with students ages 3 to 21, depending on placement. Responsibilities include developing and administering effective, evidence-based interventions to help students achieve their highest level of independence within the educational environment. You'll collaborate with educators while contributing to professional development initiatives and ensuring services are cost-efficient, innovative, and aligned with best practices for learners with disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of Illinois is required Previous experience with school-aged children or adolescents (ages 3-21 preferred) Strong foundation in evidence-based OT programming, adapting interventions across diverse abilities Ability to work exclusively in-person (no remote options) Skilled communicator; collaborates effectively with educators, families, and school staff Compassion and commitment to supporting children with exceptional needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' needs, establish goals, and implement individualized OT programs Deliver services in alignment with IEPs and collaborate on student progress Consult with teachers on classroom strategies and accommodations Contribute to professional development and support educational teams Document session data, progress, and maintain compliance with regulations This onsite, full-time contract role offers the chance to join a supportive collaborative environment driven by quality intervention and professional growth.
