Job Description

Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students as a full-time Occupational Therapist in a contract position. This role offers the chance to make a genuine impact by providing high-quality occupational therapy services across both elementary and high school settings near Oswego, IL. Working Monday through Friday, you will be the guiding force for students' functional, academic, and social development, contributing to their school success at multiple grade levels. Enjoy collaboration, as you'll be partnered with a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who will support the implementation of your treatment plans. Within this dynamic school environment, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to foster a positive, supportive atmosphere for every student on your caseload.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois Previous experience working within a school setting preferred Strong knowledge of IEP process and documentation requirements Effective communication, organization, and time-management skills Comfortable adapting interventions to students' individual needs Collaborative approach to working with COTAs, teachers, and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' needs within educational environments Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with IEPs Deliver direct treatment services and therapeutic interventions Provide training and guidance to the COTA assisting you Maintain detailed progress notes and participate in progress meetings Partner with staff and families to ensure holistic student support You'll find fulfillment in helping students achieve milestones—academically, physically, and socially—each day.
