Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, serving elementary-aged students in both resource and self-contained settings. This role is located in Roscoe, IL, and operates on a contract from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a 37.5-hour workweek. Key responsibilities include ensuring students can actively participate in classroom activities alongside their peers by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills. The therapist will modify tasks or environments to meet individual student needs and perform diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate. Delivering clear and insightful reports based on student assessments and observations is essential. The role also involves developing and maintaining Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations, along with collaborating and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues regarding students' developmental progress and support needs. Qualifications for this role require applicants to hold or be eligible for an Illinois state license in Occupational Therapy. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment are critical. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving capabilities to meet the dynamic needs of students.
