Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing vital Occupational Therapy services to a diverse group of students aged 5 to 10 in an educational setting near Waukegan, IL. This full-time (35 hours per week), contract position begins in the 2026/2027 school year. You'll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with young learners, collaborating closely with educators and families to support students' functional, behavioral, and academic development.
Key Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapy license (Illinois) Experience in school-based, healthcare, or home health OT settings preferred Strong ability to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans for children Excellent communication and documentation skills Compassionate, flexible, and eager to make a positive difference
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and strengths Develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions to enhance students' participation in daily activities and school routines Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment and support for each child's goals Maintain clear and accurate documentation of progress, in accordance with state and federal regulations Engage in team meetings, provide input on IEPs, and contribute expertise for optimizing student outcomes Advocate for the unique needs of students within the classroom and school community
