Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Ignite your passion for empowering young learners by bringing your Occupational Therapy expertise to a dynamic educational setting. This contract-based opportunity allows you to support students' growth and success while working closely with educators, families, and other support professionals. Your work will make a tangible difference in children's lives, helping them overcome barriers and maximize their potential in and outside the classroom.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active and valid Occupational Therapist license Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred Strong understanding of sensory integration, fine and gross motor skill development, and individualized education programs (IEPs) Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations for school-based therapy services Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a flexible caseload
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP requirements Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in a school environment Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to integrate OT strategies into the classroom and daily routines Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to interventions Assist in preparing reports and recommendations for educational teams Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input to support student-centered goals
