Category Schools - OT - Telehealth Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based telehealth services. This role involves delivering virtual OT support for two elementary schools serving students in grades K-4 and 5-6. The position offers a full 40-hour workweek, providing consistent interaction with students and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct virtual occupational therapy evaluations and interventions for students via teletherapy. Implement therapy plans tailored to individual student needs in accordance with IEP goals. Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to develop and update IEPs. Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary. Manage Medicaid billing processes accurately and efficiently.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapy license with experience in pediatric and school settings. Proficiency in telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy services. Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures and compliance. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with school personnel and families. Ability to maintain detailed documentation for evaluations, treatment, and billing. This role is based in Lafayette, IN, with all services provided virtually, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for students across the two schools. The 40-hour schedule supports continuity of care and comprehensive service delivery.
