Ideal qualifications and experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in state of assignment Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Knowledge of IEP process, assessments, and goal-setting for students with diverse abilities Proficient in direct therapy, consultation, and progress documentation Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Flexibility and adaptability within a fast-paced educational environment Primary responsibilities include: Evaluating and providing therapy to students with a variety of needs in accordance with IEP goals Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to support student participation and success in school activities Documenting progress, maintaining records, and participating in IEP meetings Consulting with educators and parents to integrate occupational therapy recommendations into classroom routines Facilitating student engagement in fine motor, sensory, and self-care activities This opportunity provides exposure to a diverse student population, opportunities for professional growth, and a network of supportive colleagues.
