Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy support to elementary students for the 2026-2027 academic year. Based near Kansas City, Kansas, this role is perfect for a dedicated OT passionate about helping young learners reach their potential. Serving five elementary campuses, you'll collaborate with educators and families to deliver impactful therapy in an educational setting, ensuring each child's unique needs are addressed. Here's what we're looking for:
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist Experience working within a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged students, is strongly preferred Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload across multiple campuses Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Collaborative mindset for partnering with teachers, staff, and parents Adaptable, resourceful, and ready to address evolving student needsKey Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines Assess, plan, and implement interventions to promote student participation and academic success Travel between five elementary school sites, supporting students in a variety of environments Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings as required Contribute to the development of a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere This contract position runs from August 2026 through May 2027.
