Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Evening/After-school Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at Super Speech Therapy! The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive therapy services within our Lenexa office location (11242 Strang Line Rd., Lenexa, KS 66215). This role involves developing and implementing personalized therapy plans to improve clients' functional abilities, promote independence, and enhance quality of life. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with our Speech Pathologists and families to deliver client-centered care. We need help between the hours of 4pm - 7pm. Wide Variety of Clients From toddlers to young adults, you'll see a diverse caseload. A Fun, Play-Based Culture We prioritize hands-on, play-rich therapy that keeps kids engaged and helps you do your best work. If you love creativity, movement, sensory play, and joyful sessions, you'll fit right in. Responsibilities Assess clients' current skill level and develop individualized treatment plans to address their needs. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence Implement therapeutic interventions Work with patients with diverse conditions including autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and a variety of genetic diagnoses Utilize knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to inform treatment strategies. Collaborate with speech pathologists, educators, and families to optimize client outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and update therapy plans regularly. Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques for ongoing support. Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and participate in professional development activities. Qualifications Valid state licensure/certification as an Occupational Therapist. Experience working with pediatric population is preferred. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs. Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques relevant to occupational therapy practice.
