This contract position focuses on making a meaningful difference in children's educational journeys while enhancing your own professional growth. In this role, your expertise will help students reach their fullest potential through supportive interventions, creative problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork with faculty and families.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state Previous experience in school-based or pediatric OT settings preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Ability to assess and create individualized treatment plans Capable communicative skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff Adaptable, organized, and committed to fostering positive learning environments
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluate student needs in collaboration with educational staff Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy plans to support academic and functional growth Document progress and maintain compliance with district and regulatory guidelines Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate strategies into classroom routines Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations or modifications Offer direct therapy sessions and support ongoing intervention as needed This position offers flexibility and the unique satisfaction of helping students overcome challenges to thrive in their educational environment.
