Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make an immediate impact by providing essential Occupational Therapy services to students in a supportive educational setting near Ottawa, KS. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued Ability to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of current best practices in OT interventions for school-aged children Organized, adaptable, and passionate about student progress
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' functional, sensory, and motor needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals Deliver direct therapy sessions and consultative services to students with varying abilities Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to support student achievement Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school policies and regulatory standards Participate in IEP meetings and provide input to guide educational planning Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and classroom modifications when needed
