Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to an exciting contract opportunity supporting five elementary campuses for the upcoming school year, August 2026 through May 2027. This engaging role is ideal for a compassionate, skilled OT who thrives in educational settings and enjoys making an impact on students' daily lives. You will have the chance to utilize evidence-based interventions to help students achieve their academic and developmental goals. The district will provide additional information on caseload specifics soon, ensuring you have a clear understanding of your responsibilities.
What We're Seeking:
Active Occupational Therapist license valid in Kansas Experience working within school settings highly preferred Strong knowledge of pediatric and school-based OT practices Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Flexibility and adaptability to manage various caseloads and school environments Commitment to providing equitable and inclusive therapy for all students
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver direct and consultative OT services for students across five elementary campuses Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' functional participation in educational activities Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting for students with diverse needs Serve as a resource to families, advocating for access to supports and community resources This is a fantastic opportunity to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference within a vibrant educational community.
