Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Put your passion for supporting young children to work as a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a rewarding school-based contract role located near Arcadia, LA. This part-time opportunity is perfect for professionals eager to make a real difference on an Early Intervention team serving 3-4 year olds. With a consistent daytime schedule—approximately 4 hours per day, 4 days each week—you'll split your time evenly between sites in North and South areas, ensuring variety and a dynamic work environment throughout the school year. Ideal candidates have a commitment to empowering children and collaborating with others to foster developmental growth. Licensed OT or COTA professionals are both welcome to apply, and supervision will be provided for COTAs in this school setting.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
Current Louisiana OT or COTA license, in good standing Experience with pediatric, early intervention or school-based therapy preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt approaches to individual student needs Comfort working independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted occupational therapy services to preschool-aged students as part of an Early Intervention Team Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Travel between two geographic areas over the week (two days North, two days South) Maintain consistent documentation and collaborate with educators and family members Participate in meetings and trainings related to student progress This contract opportunity, running August to May, offers an excellent work-life balance and the chance to influence foundational years for young learners.
