Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the youngest learners as a contracted Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting school-based early intervention services. This part-time, onsite position is ideal for professionals eager to collaborate with a dedicated Early Interventionist Team focused on children aged 3-4 years. You'll split your time between locations in the northern and southern parts of the area, working roughly 4 hours per day, 4 days a week. Providing hands-on therapy and guidance, you'll play a vital role in helping children develop foundational skills for lifelong success.
Desired Qualifications:
Current and valid Louisiana OT or COTA license Experience with early intervention or pediatric populations strongly preferred Familiarity with school-based therapy and IEP process a plus Effective communication skills, both with young children and interdisciplinary teams Commitment to evidence-based, compassionate care COTAs must be able to work under supervision provided for this assignment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to 3-4-year-old students as part of an early intervention team Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support individual student goals Develop and implement individualized plans that foster developmental, social, and academic growth Maintain accurate, timely documentation aligned with school and regulatory standards Shift between two locations, ensuring consistent, high-quality services across the district
