Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping patients improve their ability to perform daily activities and enhance their quality of life through therapeutic interventions. This role involves working with individuals of all ages, particularly focusing on geriatrics and those with disabilities or autism, in various settings including skilled nursing facilities.
Pay:
$55.00 per hour, $5 shift differential on weekends
Duties:
Assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans to address their specific goals. Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients? physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities. Provide assistance in daily living activities to promote independence and enhance quality of life. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive case management and patient care. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and techniques to support recovery. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Stay updated on best practices in occupational health and therapy techniques. Skills Strong ability to provide care with empathy and understanding. Proficiency in assisting patients with various needs, especially those related to disabilities and autism. Knowledge of case management principles to effectively coordinate patient care. Familiarity with speech therapy techniques as they relate to occupational therapy. Solid understanding of anatomy and its application in rehabilitation practices. Experience working with geriatric populations in a therapeutic setting. Ability to work effectively within a skilled nursing facility environment.
