Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity providing virtual occupational therapy services for a school-based setting. This flexible, part-time position offers the chance to make an immediate impact, supporting students and assisting with essential evaluations and supervision duties. The role focuses on addressing re-evaluations across various grades, completing PreK evaluations on Fridays, and providing valuable supervision to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Key Qualifications:
Active and clear Louisiana Occupational Therapist license is required Experience in school-based OT, including virtual settings, is highly desirable Comfortable conducting re-evaluations and PreK assessments Previous supervision experience with COTAs a definite plus Strong communication skills and effective remote collaboration abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive re-evaluations for students across grade levels virtually Complete PreK student evaluations each Friday as part of scheduled hours Provide direct supervision and support to a COTA, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines Coordinate and communicate effectively with school staff, administrators, and caregivers Maintain accurate documentation and thorough records according to best practices and district policies The contract begins as soon as possible and will last for one to two months, providing vital assessment and oversight during this short-term need. After the initial period, continued COTA supervision may be requested via a separate arrangement.
