9561088-70001 Job Description Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services to students from PreK through 8th grade in an engaging school setting near Metairie, LA. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, sharing a dynamic office space with a physical therapist and adaptive physical education specialist, and enjoy support from a COTA once a week. Qualifications and Experience Active and current Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure is required Experience working in a school-based setting with diverse student needs Strong ability to adapt therapeutic interventions for PreK-8th grade students Excellent communication and teamwork skills for close collaboration with PTs, APEs, and COTAs Capable of managing a varied caseload and effectively documenting student progress Primary Responsibilities Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students Provide direct and consultative services to support students participation in educational activities Implement therapy sessions aligned with IEP goals and school objectives Work one-on-one and in small groups to facilitate fine motor, sensory, and functional skills Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to promote student growth Maintain accurate therapy records and progress reports in compliance with school policies Contribute to IEP meetings and help tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of each child If you are excited to empower students independence and development while collaborating in a supportive environment, this is your next opportunity.
