Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to support student growth through vital Occupational Therapy services in a school setting near Chicopee, MA. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with a small, manageable caseload—around 11 students—delivering both direct support and consultative services for the remainder of the school year, with the potential for continued work in the next school year. Take on a part-time schedule, providing services two days a week. Engage students individually or in small groups, typically in 20-30 minute sessions once or twice each week. You'll work collaboratively alongside educational professionals to help each student reach their highest potential.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license for practice in Massachusetts Previous experience providing OT services in a school setting is highly valued Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration Ability to organize and manage a caseload efficiently Comfort with both direct therapy and consultative support models Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plansRole Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive OT assessments and evaluations Implement individualized and group therapy sessions targeting students' IEP goals Consult with teachers and other school staff to support students' needs across settings Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided Participate in meetings and provide input for IEP development Communicate progress to families and team members If you're passionate about making an impact and thrive in a school environment, this opportunity offers meaningful work on a flexible, part-time basis.
