Your expertise will help individuals overcome challenges related to physical, cognitive, and sensory impairments, empowering them to regain functional skills and achieve their personal goals. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities to develop personalized therapy plans. Deliver engaging occupational therapy sessions that focus on improving daily living skills, mobility, coordination, and strength. Utilize manual handling techniques safely to assist patients with weight-bearing activities and transfers. Apply your physiology and anatomy knowledge to identify functional limitations and tailor interventions accordingly. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes in accordance with medical terminology standards. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care. Ensure safety protocols are followed rigorously by demonstrating CPR proficiency and adhering to occupational health guidelines during all procedures. Experience Proven occupational therapy experience in diverse settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, or post-acute care facilities. Hands-on experience working with pediatrics or geriatrics populations is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to handle weight transfer tasks safely within a clinical or workplace environment. Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice. Familiarity with clinical procedures involving manual handling and workplace ergonomics. Experience working within academic or research settings related to occupational health or therapy is a plus. Technical proficiency in using therapy equipment and documentation software to track patient outcomes effectively.
Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
