Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide specialized occupational therapy services to children in outpatient clinic. Your expertise will help young patients develop essential skills, improve their independence, and enhance their quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's development while working in a collaborative and supportive environment. Duties Assess children's motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities to develop personalized care plans. Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and sensory integration. Assist children with disabilities and developmental delays in achieving their full potential through targeted therapy strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Support discharge planning by preparing families and caregivers with strategies for continued progress at home or in community settings. Work with children in diverse environments. Document patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate families and caregivers on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment use, and strategies to support ongoing development. Participate in case management activities to monitor patient progress and facilitate seamless transitions across care levels. Supervise and collaborate with OT assistants in implementing patient's plan of care. Experience Proven experience working with pediatric populations in outpatient clinics, schools, or inpatient settings. Familiarity with outpatient therapy practices for children. Experience assisting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Skilled in discharge planning processes and collaborating with families for post-therapy support. Background working with sensory integration techniques, primitive reflex integration, executive function, regulation, and handwriting intervention is highly desirable. Prior experience integrating speech therapy techniques into occupational therapy plans for holistic patient care is a plus. $48.00 - $58.00 per hour
