Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide specialized occupational therapy services to pediatric patients across various settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, early intervention programs. Your expertise will help children develop essential skills for daily living, improve motor functions, and enhance their overall quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families through innovative therapy approaches and compassionate care. Responsibilities Assess children's functional abilities, developmental milestones, and sensory processing needs to develop personalized treatment plans. Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions aimed at improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care activities (ADLs), and overall independence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive care strategies. Assist with discharge planning by preparing families for ongoing therapy needs and providing home exercise programs. Support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by designing tailored interventions that promote communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors. Conduct therapy sessions in various settings such as outpatient clinics and schools Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, update care plans regularly, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Engage in case management activities to monitor patient outcomes and facilitate smooth transitions between care settings. Requirements Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) with pediatric specialization. Proven experience working with children in diverse environments such as outpatient clinics, early intervention programs, schools, or inpatient facilities. Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and developmental milestones. Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), discharge planning, and case management for pediatric patients. Familiarity with working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other disabilities to promote functional independence. Excellent patient care skills combined with a compassionate approach to working with children and families. Knowledge of speech therapy principles is advantageous for interdisciplinary collaboration. Pay:
$47.00 - $56.60 per hour
